Peaberry's Dark French Sumatra is our darkest roast. Sumatra Mandheling coffee beans are softer than many other coffees and therefore more liable to scorch and it takes a careful hand to roast them this dark without charring them. When properly roasted, the characteristically intense "burnt sugar" flavor, clean finish and smoky bittersweet aroma combines in a truly classic cup. Cheers!
